LESSON 8

Schools have got names not numbers. Primary schools teach children from 5 to 11 years old. Children start school in September. Classes begin at nine o’clock in the morning. Pupils often sit on the carpet in the classroom. English pupils like to play outdoors during breaks. At 1 o’clock pupils have lunch at school.

I usually get up at 7 o’clock. I sometimes do my morning exercises. Then I wash my hands and face or have a shower. After that I make my bed, get dressed, have breakfast, take my schoolbag and go to school. I usually walk to school. My classes begin at 8.30. I usually have four or five lessons a day. My classes finish at 1.15 and I come back home at 1.30. Then I have dinner. After that I go for a walk with my friends, read a book or play computer games. Then I do my homework.
In the evening, I sometimes help my mother about the house or visit my friend. I clean my teeth, wash my face and hands or have a bath. I go to bed at 10 p.m.
